Five tips from the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association:
- Brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes with a fluoridated toothpaste
- Floss daily
- Use an antibacterial mouthwash daily
- Use xylitol gum or mints to neutralize the acid produced after eating
- Rinse your mouth with water after eating
