An event to commemorate National Day for Truth & Reconciliation which officially falls on September 30.
This event is one of many that will be taking place to bring awareness and action to Truth & Reconciliation across Turtle Island.
About the Event
IDHC is hosting a special gathering in Thorold to commemorate all efforts towards T ruth and Reconciliation.Thiswillbeacommunity gathering for Indigenous and non-Indigenous community, allies, and partners. The gathering is aimed at promoting Indigenous health and wellness, while also highlighting the importance of collaborating to better service Indigenous peoples in various sectors of society. The event will emphasize the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces, and promote awareness of Indigenous peoples and ways of knowing. Agenda for the Gathering
- Opening ceremony and public addresses from local leadership
- “Unity Walk” from 11:00 to 12:00,
- Healthy Indigenous lunch at noon.
