Five-Bean Soup

It’s soup season!
Beans are nutritious (high in protein, high in fibre, low fat and cholesterol free) and economical!
• 6 cups water
• 5 cans beans (1 each of your favourite beans)
• 2 chicken legs (skin removed)
• 2 tbsp. Mrs. Dash (or your favourite spice blend)

Place chicken and water in soup pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Drain and rinse beans under water. After 30 minutes, add beans and Mrs. Dash to pot. Cover and continue cooking for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove chicken, separate meat from bones, add meat back to soup. Simmer for 10 minutes. Enjoy.
