Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health released the Share Your Story (SYS) report

Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health released the Share Your Story (SYS) report on May 25, 2022. The report contains stories of racism experienced by Indigenous community members in the Champlain region when accessing health care, primarily hospital services. The SYS report is a five-year strategy with the stated expectation that “in ten years anti-Indigenous racism and discrimination will be eliminated in the health care system across the Champlain region.” The recommendations are directed at Ontario Health to work with health partners to take action.
