Let’s Talk with Empowerment and Empathy

About the Event
People living with diabetes face a significantly higher risk of heart disease, stroke, and related complications compared to the general population. Diabetes, especially Type 2, is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD), often coexisting with high blood pressure and, among Indigenous populations, is often diagnosed earlier with more severe outcomes. Let’s learn about it together.
- Understand the bodies blood-flow process
- Review diabetes and its impacts on the blood and feet
- Identify ways to reduce high sugar damage and increase blood health
- Learn the impact of smoking on heart and blood health
- Understand how smoking effects circulation
- Learn best ways to quit smoking and handle relapses
