Pancreas either does not make enough insulin or cells have difficulty taking up and using insulin.
Risk factors: obesity, family history, inadequate physical activity, poor diets that includes processed foods.
One clinical sign is A1c 6.5 and above.
Other signs are: Increased thirst, increased hunger, low energy, unexplained weight loss, increased urination or flu like symptoms, are some of the signs. See you doctor or health care provider right away.
